Wildlife Crossing was a fun challenge: take the existing game and update it to meet curriculum expectations and a growing demand for new content.
As I wasn’t the original designer, it was interesting to jump into an older project and see what I could tweak with strict asset limitations (no new VO, no reworking of core mechanics). With the limitations in mind, the team and I figured we could enhance the story by adding in new animal types and changing the collectibles to better match the animals’ needs. This was done without any extra VO and tripled the available content for players (each animal has different weights).
